| I was out of town over the past few weeks and some people broke into Purple53. I heard there was an event this past weekend and there were lots of young hippie type people hanging around my town in Jacumba and I think this is when the brake in happened. I believe the perpetrator(s) first completely shattered the front door window to gain access, it seemed then they looked through most of my belongings hoping to find drugs or something, I say drugs because it seems nothing was stolen, no valuables were taken from what I can tell so far, they unzipped small pouches, tore open cardboard boxes, made the place a mess, there were also knife stab marks on my some of my wooden storage doors. On the way out the person(s) then shattered the bathroom window from the inside in bulges outward; this one is going to be hard to fix because I will have to tare apart half the wall. I am low on money right now so I will not be able to repair the windows for a while. Its going to cost about $200 in glass for new windows. If anyone can help out with a donation that would be awesome. Also need emotional support. I was feeling nauseous this morning because of everything that has been going on lately. |

| well, that's really kinda effed up. I am sorry that happened to your place. however, i seem to think that Jamcumba is the kind of town where the people who live there are the kinds that don't get on well with other's.it seems that you are inferring that these young hippie's are responsible for the break in. without proof, i would be hesitant to shed blame on anyone. however, if you are in need of help with the windows, I can help you.what are the dimensions of the front door window and the bathroom window? I offer help because i know how frakk cold it gets in my town of Jacumba in the winter time, and I have many friends in the "hippie" community and I don't like them to be slandered in any way. additionally, I have many friends in the art community as well and I know how they are the virtual poor of the world.the nauseous is caused by stress. let go of your stress of merry artist . You are not in control so stop acting like it. let the winds of change blow through your life and look upon this as the opportunity it is. utilize this situation as an opportunity to exhibit art, and artistically change your outlook on life and this situation. make the window replacements different and fresh. get creative.Now i ask you. do you in fact live @ the hot springs itself? if so, then wouldn't the hot springs owner be responsible for the replacement of the glass windows, due to the fact that you were gone when this happened, and they were responsible for the safeguarding of your space? and have you considered it might have been someone else from the town or some other passerby? I know a lot of activity is taking place in Jacumba with a lot of strangers coming in and going out of there recently with the building of the border fence. as for the looking of drugs in your possession, it is arguable that that is false. if someone was bold enough to ransack your abode in search of drugs, and found none, then anything of value that could be sold for drugs would have been taken. this is the common drug user mentality. particularly when a break in occurs. furthermore, have you contacted the local authorities and reported this? or have you chosen not to because you in fact have something to hide.random accusations hurt more than you know. you are closer to the young hippie lifestyle than you think. look at your bus, and your way of living. that is very hippieish. kinda like you are accusing your own way of life for shit happening you had no control over. and you haven't even mentioned the possibility of a illegal crossing the border looking for something of value to further their quest. and look @ your blog:I was out of town over the past two and a half weeks". the young hippie people were here just last weekend. 1 week ago. this could have occurred within the 1rst week and a half that you were gone. The reality is you are just trying to blame them. you have no proof. yet you are convinced they are at fault. unless you live by yourself and have a secured compound in which you never , ever leave, then you can't really blame anyone for what has happened.it sux, i know. and you feel violated I'm sure. but truth be told you have no proof as to who did it, and to wantonly blame some other group of people for your misfortunes is ignorant. so I assume you need safety glass for the windows right? have you considered replacing the windows with acrylic windows, like the kind that nascar drivers use? it is un breakable, and cost much less than automotive glass and can be cut with a simple scroll saw to fit. blog me back some dimensions and we'll see what we can do to help.

| Wow...I'm glad this Casey guy finds it reasonable to be a complete dick and soften it up with a little charitable help. Yes, it's ignorant to accuse "hippies" of doing it, but it's also quite arrogant and obnoxious to write a long reply to a short blog stating your protests to an offhanded comment that I'm sure nobody else (certainly not these hippies you're so righteously defending) really thought twice about. Not to mention you clearly got the point across in the first ten lines, but still managed to repeat yourself and condescend to him in any other way you could possibly think of, all the while peppering it with motherly concern. Get over yourself, moron. |
