| Jacumba: new born baby crying at local library having diaper changed on table. If you did something like this in a New York City library you would be arrested or nearly shot. I have really enjoyed my time at the Jacumba California Library because they let you be normal, and they even let you talk on your cell phones. The library's rules in New York are borderline ridiculous. I was recently asked "How did you find your mind?". At first I did not understand the question so she explained to me that even since the 1950s people in this time period today do not know their own mind, people have forgotten how to love and often most people sink into addictions and/or abusive situations. She told me that you do not even have to go back 100 years to find good people; she said even 50 years ago people were better. She told me something I never heard before, people used to leave their keys inside their cars with the door unlocked on purpose. And when people went fishing or berry picking they would always get enough food for their neighbors. She was very happy to meet me and impressed to see how I am living. Today the definition of OLD its about 2 years, after that period people start throwing away their shit and getting new shit. It has been about three months since I first set foot in Jacumba, I have some visitors this month it will be really cool. The Grand Canyon Phantom Ranch manager, David Meyer, is coming to Jacumba next week to visit me. |
