No Grapes Yet

The Grape Vineyard sure worked my butt off, in the fields and also my truck engine repairs. I pruned the bottom party of the grape plants which took a few days, doing this make the sunlight be exposed more to the top of the plant and then the grapes have higher sugar content when they are growing. For my truck engine I flushed the radiator and removed the thermostat because it was malfunctioning, afterwards the fluids were flowing much better. This was insane because it took me all day 10am to 5pm yesterday. Today I left the vineyard, it was pretty tricky backing up the steep driveway around the narrow corner. The truck is starting better because I saw the gas peddle rod was bent so I bent it back somewhat. I made it to Del Dios CA ( Escondido CA ) area but with more troubles. The transmission in the truck is making bad sounds so I think it is broke, this is stressing me out. Also the community garden gig that I had hopped to get situated in today did not happen so I'm stuck here by this beautiful lake. I need to wait till tomorrow to see what evolves because I'm supposed to meet up with more people tomorrow and also the San Diego Union Tribune article is coming out Saturday I think so hopefully someone will read this blog entry and email me.

Glad you enjoyed Jamul, Angel. I lived there for a few years, and have always thought of it as such a throw back type town, with real people and a lot to see and enjoy. Sorry to hear you are having problems with the transmission. I did read the SD Union article and came to your blog from that. I am also an artist and designer and think it's pretty cool that you are living out such a free existence. Unfortunately, I guess problems like this one with your transmission are sort of the downside to dwelling in an apt/truck and traveling across the country in it. I will keep in touch and read more of your blogs... Susan
