| The fan belt was slipping a few times on I-8 on my way into Jacumba so I had to get off and start taking old highway 80 which is a much cooler road and it has fewer cars on it. As it turns out I am still having engine troubles, the most recent is the engine boiling over which we think is caused by a clogged radiator, the water pump seems to still be pumping. I stopped at Benny & Son Garage in Boulevard CA and he wanted $400 to clean the radiator, today’s day and age is crazy. My dad is going to be coming over from Phoenix this weekend or next weekend to help with that and we also want to get a new mechanical fuel pump installed. I ran into a random old 70~ year old guy in Jacumba and he was telling me about old truck water pumps and if I am able to move my fan that the water pump is bad; can any verify this comment? Jacumba is a really sweet little town with a grade school and post office and library and grocery store. The hours for most businesses are so late in the day so I wasn't able to check any places out yet but I hope to return when I find a place to park. Oh and by the way I am extremely disappointed in sprint cell phone service, before making this long drive into Jacumba I checked with sprint and the service was listed as 100% but then when I arrive there is no service at all practically. As it turns out this lady I have been emailing works near Benny's Garage is letting me park and hook up to power and water till my dad comes to work on the truck. What a relief because California has been a rough ride so far not finding any good contacts. One good things about this area is there is tons of sage plants growing everywhere so I've been picking a lot of it so I can dry it. I am finally going to be able to update the website fully with new video and photos. It feels like its been so long since I left Texas. |

| If you find good sized white sage and bundle it you can easily sell it near the coast say in Pacific Beach (PB) or Ocean Beach (OB). I have had good dried bundles go for $5 each. Good luck. |
