| Week At Garry's Farm |

| "If everybody helps with something that's easy for them it keeps the circle going." - that's a good quote. It has been a little over a week since arriving at the Garry's farm in Bowdon Georgia. This past Saturday I was surprised with a Welcome Party in my honor. The guests all chanted Welcome Angel over and over; it was awkward at first but then it was funny. I've done more veggie planting in the garden here. The food I've been indulged with has been incredible, its been offered in mass quantities, more than I'm used to eating, 99 percent organic and grown on the farm. I asked Jacque if it feels strange when you eat all this wonderful food and other people are getting poor quality food from chain grocery stores, he says yes it is strange. The weather has been great except for 2 storms. The one storm last week destroyed many buildings in downtown Atlanta. We even went as far as putting the vehicles at the farm in the barn with my truck half way sticking out to be safe from the possible 4 inch hale storm, luckily the storm just missed our area. The second storm this week wasn't that bad. I saw today how you make real goat cheese, boil the milk to 180 degrees and then to add vinegar and lemon juice, while keep stirring it starts to thicken up, then strain it in cheese cloth. I also had the pleasure of having curtains made for my two back windows by one of Nancy Garry's friends. |
